THE PRIMARY HEALTH CARE PRINCIPLES
Integration
Integration of a health care system provides users with a coordinated service that is easy to navigate, allows health care workers to view patient health as a whole and allows for better continuity of care. An integrated health system improves the likelihood that users will engage with health services, thus improving service quality and health outcomes.
CNP/Kore Timoun achieves integration by working closely with other sectors of the Léogâne health care system. We have developed strong partnerships with the Haitian Ministry of Health (MSPP), not-for-profits working in the area, and the major hospitals in Léogâne. These partnerships allow us to work in a coordinated manner and ensure we can refer patients when their needs fall outside our scope.
